Roofing Systems

Built-Up Roofing, often referred to as BUR, is a time-tested and reliable roofing system that has been in use for over a century. It consists of multiple layers of roofing felt or fiberglass material saturated with bitumen (asphalt) and alternated with layers of bitumen-coated roofing felt. This layering creates a durable and waterproof membrane. BUR roofing systems are known for their longevity and resistance to weather and UV damage, making them a popular choice for flat roofs.

Also known as "tar and gravel roofs" or "asphalt and gravel roofs," this roofing system involves applying layers of asphalt or bitumen and embedding them with a gravel surface. Tar & gravel roofs offer excellent waterproofing and are cost-effective. They are particularly suitable for low-slope or flat roofs and provide durability and protection against UV rays and weathering.

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) and TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) roofing systems are both single-ply membranes that offer excellent reflectivity and energy efficiency. They are lightweight, highly resistant to UV rays, and provide superior waterproofing. PVC roofing is known for its durability, while TPO roofing is cost-effective and environmentally friendly. These systems are popular choices for commercial and industrial flat roofs.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) roofing is a synthetic rubber roofing system known for its longevity and resistance to ozone and weathering. EPDM membranes are single-ply and available in large, seamless sheets, making installation efficient and reducing the risk of leaks. This system is ideal for flat roofs and is widely used in commercial and industrial applications.

Flat roof replacement involves replacing an existing flat roofing system with a new one.
